Upcoming exhibitions at the Ink People’s Brenda Tuxford Gallery!

What we never got to say: The Alchemy of Grief curated by Tamzen Fox and Janie Mendosa. Opening this Saturday April 5th from 6pm to 9pm. On view for the month of April. This exhibition has contributions from an open call of local artists and engages with the theme of grief and the transformations that it brings.

North Coast Open Studios Preview Show. Opening May 3rd from 6pm to 9pm. On view for the month of May. Get a first look at the annual North Coast Open Studios event! Artists from all over the county will display their artwork in this show as a preview. In June, many of these artists will open their studio spaces to the public for visitors (June 7th & 8th, 14th & 15th).

The Gesture and Its Aftermath curated by Alexander Rondeau for Trinidaddies. Opening June 7th from 6pm to 9pm. On view for the month of June. This exhibition is “in communion with the queer ghosts we dance alongside. In times of uncertainty, The Gesture and its Aftermath turns to the visual realm to unpack our increasingly precarious queer subject positions and queer responses to adversity across time.”

The Brenda Tuxford gallery is located at 422 1st St. in Old Town Eureka. The Ink People is proud to collaborate with community co-curators to bring these shows to the public!
