The Ink People Center for the Arts is happy to announce the return of our Artists' Challenge for 2026! Participating artists will make 15 new works of art in one of four size categories during the month of November, to be displayed in a show at Arts Alive in December.

The Ink People Center for the Arts is happy to announce the return of our Artists' Challenge for 2026!
Participating artists will make 15 new works of art in one of four size categories during the month of November, to be displayed in a show at Arts Alive in December. 3"x5", 5"x7", 8"x10" or 11"x14".
This year, the smallest size category can include small free-standing sculptures (up to a 3"x5" or 4"x4" base, no more than 8" tall), but due to more limited display space for these, we ask that artists interested in this option please confirm with gallery staff to ensure that we can accommodate this.
All other art must be hangable and ready to hang on a standard screw or nail at the time of drop off. These must be fifteen individual works of art in the chosen size category. No storyboards, triptychs, etc... each piece must be complete by itself.
Any medium is allowed, as long as it can be safely displayed in the gallery.
Registration closes on November 5th at 11:59pm, $10 entry fee. Scroll down, click ‘Add to Cart’ then click on the cart icon in the top right corner to complete checkout.
The working period will be the month of November - artists will need to come hang their own work on either December 3rd or December 4th, time TBD. If you think you will need assistance hanging your artwork, please contact gallery staff. The show will open during Arts Alive on December 5th and will be on view for the month of December. Participants have the opportunity to volunteer as a gallery greeter during Ink People open hours, sign up with your availability below.
All artwork will be priced by size:
3"x5" - $24 each
5"x7" - $45 each
8"x10" - $60 each
11"x14" - $75 each
If sold, 70% will go to the artist and 30% will go towards supporting the Ink People.
