DreamMaker Highlight of the Week: Maker’s Apron! ✨🎨♻️

Located at 317 E St. Eureka, Maker’s Apron is a creative re-use thrift store. What is a creative re-use thrift store? Well imagine if an art store and hardware store fell in love and Wish to draw, or strengthen your drawing practice? 
Intergenerational duo Carlotta and Carissa Clark are teaching a 12-week community drawing class for beginners and lifelong learners. 

Coming from a long line of visual artists, both Carlotta and Ca The Ink People Center for Art and Culture and St Vincent De Paul’s dining center (“Free Meal”) invite you to dine with us in a celebration of creative community. Enjoy homemade lasagna and live music at 11am. Monday, January 12. 35 Jenna Catsos is an illustrator & muralist, Pen+Pine. Jenna is also a community organizer & public art enthusiast, & sits on the board of the Eureka Cultural Arts District. She designed & teaches the Creative Business Series through th Taboo-D Theater Ensemble Presents
Undressing the Norms, dismantling expectations & defying compliance.

Addit At the Ink People, we are ringing in the new year by uplifting our DreamMaker projects!
These community-led projects focus on a wide range of topics including visual arts, performance, cultural revitalization, community wellness, and more. 

The Drea Our hearts are with all those in Arcata who have been impacted by last Friday’s fire. 

Local artists lost their studios and creative tools in this devastating fire. The loss of a studio is not only the loss of a workspace, but of irreplaceable Let’s wrap up our year in review! Here are more highlights from 2025, a transformative year for the Ink People. 

This year… 
•We worked in partnership with the Wiyot Tribe to advance Indigenous language revitalization, through the Happy Holidays from the Ink People! Our office will be closed starting tomorrow, Dec. 25th through next week. We will reopen with regular hours on Monday, Jan. 5th.
