The Plants that Nourish Us project is a collaborative indigenous community building endeavor crossing multiple disciplines, including arts, writing/poetry, storytelling, photography, etc., as these intersect with traditional ecological knowledge about plants, the Wailaki language and its revitalization. Direct field experiences for youth, when possible, with motivational professional scientists, skill-sharers, elders,ethnobotanists, language experts, basket makers, etc., will assist contributions from the community. One goal is a print and online resource on traditional Wailaki relationships with plants that is created by the community.
