The Creative Economy Townhall hosted generative conversation around the role of artists & culture bearers in uplifting our local & state economy. We would like to send a special thank you to our panelists, who shared insight based on their ow DreamMaker Highlight of the Week: HAPI, Humboldt Asian & Pacific Islanders in Solidarity! 

Humboldt Asians & Pacific Islanders in Solidarity builds and empowers our community by amplifying diverse voices and perspectives for a more engaged a Thank you for attending the Creative Economy Townhall! 

Our day opened with a land acknowledgement given by Julian Lang and poetry readings by Sarai Bordeaux and Olivia Gibson. Carissa Gutierrez, the Director of Public Affairs at California Arts Cou Join the discussion tomorrow, Thursday January 15th, at the Creative Economies Townhall from 1pm to 4pm at the Morris Graves Museum of Art! Opening up the space with a reading will be Eurek DreamMaker Highlight of the Week: Maker’s Apron! ✨🎨♻️

Located at 317 E St. Eureka, Maker’s Apron is a creative re-use thrift store. What is a creative re-use thrift store? Well imagine if an art store and hardware store fell in love and Wish to draw, or strengthen your drawing practice? 
Intergenerational duo Carlotta and Carissa Clark are teaching a 12-week community drawing class for beginners and lifelong learners. 

Coming from a long line of visual artists, both Carlotta and Ca The Ink People Center for Art and Culture and St Vincent De Paul’s dining center (“Free Meal”) invite you to dine with us in a celebration of creative community. Enjoy homemade lasagna and live music at 11am. Monday, January 12. 35 Jenna Catsos is an illustrator & muralist, Pen+Pine. Jenna is also a community organizer & public art enthusiast, & sits on the board of the Eureka Cultural Arts District. She designed & teaches the Creative Business Series through th Taboo-D Theater Ensemble Presents
